What we scan
We focus on what most families have tucked away in the loft, so every order gets our full attention. Your photos are handled personally, not passed down a factory line.
Loose prints
Colour and black & white prints, scanned at 300dpi as standard, or 600dpi for high detail. Every photo comes back colour-corrected, cleaned, straightened and cropped.
Albums & scrapbooks
No need to take your photos out. We scan whole pages, or each photo separately, and your album comes back exactly as it was.
Colour & B&W
Negative strips scanned at 3600dpi, converted and colour-corrected, with infrared dust removal for colour film.
Mounted slides
Every slide hand-cleaned, checked and scanned the right way round at 3600dpi, with infrared dust and scratch removal.
Video, audio & discs
Your home movies, voices and old discs, saved as files that play on any phone, computer or TV.
VHS & VHS-C
Home movies turned into MP4 files you can watch, keep and share. Every minute of the tape is captured.
Cassettes
Voices, music and messages saved as MP3 files — perfect for recordings of loved ones.
CDs & DVDs
Copy photos off old CDs from the chemist, or turn home-made DVDs into MP4 files before the discs fail.
Cine & APS
8mm, Super 8 and APS (Advantix) film is digitised by our trusted specialist partner lab. We handle everything, so you only deal with us.

Included with every order
Every photo comes back colour-corrected, cleaned, straightened and cropped, true to life and not changed by AI. If you'd like the untouched original scans as well, before our colour correction, add them to your order for £10.
30-day rescan promise
If we've scanned something crooked, cropped it wrongly, missed it or scanned it out of focus, tell us within 30 days and we'll redo it free of charge.
Named folders & files
Group your photos and tell us the names and dates, and we'll sort them into named folders with dated file names, like ‘1974 - Kew Gardens - 012’.
Writing on the back
Handwritten names and dates on the back of loose prints are scanned too.
Blank & duplicate frames
Frames that are blank, duplicated or have no usable picture aren't charged. They're listed on your invoice.
60-day download page
A private page to view and download all your photos. It stays open for 60 days, and we'll remind you before it closes. See an example

Your photos are safe with us
We know these are often the only copies you have. Here's how we look after them from the moment they arrive until they're back home with you.
They never leave our studio
Dee opens your box, scans every photo and packs them back up himself. Nothing is sent away to another company, here or abroad.
A message the day they arrive
As soon as your box arrives, we send you a photo of it by WhatsApp or email, so you know it's safe. We keep you updated until your originals are back home.
Pay only when they're ready
No deposit and no card details up front. You see a preview of your photos first, and only pay once your scans are ready, securely online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Kept exactly as you sent them
Albums stay whole, photos stay in their groups and order, and fragile or curled photos go on our flatbed scanner instead of through a machine. Faces are never redrawn by AI.
Home by tracked post
Your originals come back by tracked post, free on orders of £100 or more. Local customers can drop off and collect in person instead.
Only seen by us
Your photos are never shared or used in our adverts without your permission. Your download page is private, and our copies are deleted after 60 days.

Who's looking after your photos
SilverFrame is a small, local business in Brent, North West London. It started when I scanned my own family's photos, negatives and slides, and saw how much it meant to everyone to see them again.
I look after every order myself, with the same care I gave my own family's memories. I'm the one who opens your box, scans every photo and posts them back to you, and I'm always happy to answer questions on WhatsApp before you send anything.
